YogaYoga is a non-religious practice that has been evolving for the last 5,000 years or so. Yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the classical language of India. According to yogis, the practice of yoga is a union with the mind, body and spirit. Yoga is really a way of life that offers tremendous benefits of health and wellness. Research shows that the relaxing and challenging practice of yoga helps manage or control many conditions and diseases, stress, blood pressure, chronic disease, headaches, etc. What’s more, yoga improves muscle tone, flexibility, strength and stamina, reduces stress and tension, stimulates the immune system and creates a sense of calm and well-being. As a certified yoga instructor and national member of the Yoga Alliance for nearly 10 years, I bring a yoga practice that integrates Hatha, lyangar and other yoga branches, emphasizing alignment and breath work, as well as creating a style that is fluid, flow-like, gentle and challenging for all levels. The class is enhanced with a selection of music promoting a calm and enjoyable atmosphere. Expect to feel absolutely blissful long after class is over.
